Horn Porn: FaceMan's Love Affair with Rebirth Brass Band continues Dec. 6 at The Bluebird Theater
On Saturday, December 6th, FaceMan rekindles a long time love affair with Grammy winning Rebirth Brass Band at Denver's Bluebird Theater (Get Tickets Here). FaceMan recorded, 'FeedingTime' featuring Rebirth Brass Band in July 2011. Here's a timeline of events:
Fall 2000 - Steve from FaceMan opens for Rebirth at Cafe Brazil in New Orlenas for Big James', first show. (Note: Big James was Steve's first band and, similar to FaceMan, was a trio with a 7 string guitar player.)
2000 - 2008: Sitting on couch
Fall 2008: FaceMan is born
July 13, 2011: FaceMan records 'Need (FeedingTime 2012)' with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Uneven Studios in Denver Colorado (read Westword article here)
July 18, 2011 - FaceMan records with Rebirth Brass Band at Uneven Studios in Denver, featuring them on 'FeedingTime (FeedingTime 2012)' (read Westword article here)
January 21, 2012: Lee Zimmerman releases a video of Need, including a etch-a-sketch drawing and puppet pole dancing
